Financial Aid
Texas State guarantees to cover 100% of financial need to every first-time UWC applicant who is offered first-year (freshmen) admission. The funding is a combination of the Davis UWC scholarship and other Texas State scholarships.
To determine financial need for the scholarships, UWC international students must complete the International Student Financial Aid Application. This application is needed to determine your financial need for the Davis UWC scholarship. Once we receive the completed application, we will be able to notify you about your scholarship amounts.
For UWC students who are either citizens or permanent residents of the U.S., the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be used to determine financial need. When submitting the FAFSA, please be sure to include the Texas State University school code, 003615.
Step 1
Submit an application for admission to Texas State's San Marcos or Round Rock campus through Common App or ApplyTexas (essay optional).
Step 2
Pay the application fee or request a waiver (fee waivers will be granted to the first 40 UWC applicants, including international students).
Step 3
Send a copy (official or unofficial) of your high school transcript (by mail, document uploader, or electronic service).
Step 4
If applicable, have official college transcripts sent by any institution(s) you have earned college credit with.
Step 5
Have SAT or ACT scores sent by the testing agency (not required for students ranked in the top 75% of their graduating class).
Step 6
Complete the International Student Financial Aid Application for scholarship eligibility. (U.S. citizens and permanent residents submit the FAFSA.)

What is the UWC?
The United World Colleges (UWC) is an international network of schools and educational programs aimed at making education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Founded in 1962 by German educator Kurt Hahn, UWC promotes intercultural understanding and has 18 colleges across four continents. UWC selects students from over 155 countries through national committees, focusing on personal motivation and potential rather than social, economic, or cultural factors.
The organization runs the world's most extensive scholarship program in international secondary education and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). The IBDP is a two-year educational program designed for students aged 16-19 that aims to develop students with excellent breadth and depth of knowledge and who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.
