How would you describe the atmosphere at Texas State?
Extremely enthusiastic. I believe right now is the best time to come to Texas State. President Damphousse has been spearheading a lot of positive change and has sparked a whirlwind of enthusiasm across campus. Our football team is coming off its first ever bowl win and we have a ton of new additions to our facilities on campus. I had an incredible experience here at Texas State, but I would love to reenroll as a freshman right now and do it all over again!
What advice do you have for future students?
Try everything. I ended up joining a fraternity after not thinking they were for me. It ended up being the best decision for my growth as a college student. Try things you normally wouldn’t, you never know what could change your life. There is something for everyone!
Why did you choose to become an admissions counselor?
I chose to become an admissions counselor because I had an excellent and unforgettable experience as a student here at Texas State. I love everything about this university, and I want to help students make one of the most important decisions of their lives to come here and have an experience like I did.
