What do you like best about San Marcos?

I love that you can get a college town feel in San Marcos, but still have access to two big cities like Austin and San Antonio. It allows you to have the walk ability of a college campus with the city nearby. Best of both worlds! 

Why did you choose to become an admissions counselor?

I love working with prospective students to help them figure out what programs they are interested in. After many years in higher education, I still get excited when I see that "Ah-ha!" sparkle in their eyes as they find the right program for them and then watch them go from prospective student to an admit, and eventually an alum, and how transformative it is for them! 

What advice do you have for future students?

My advice for future students would be to be curious and learn from everyone you encounter in college! Building out a network early by engaging with faculty, staff, fellow students, and future employers will only help as you grow in your own career. And make sure to have fun along the way, too!
