What advice do you have for future students?
Embrace this time of your life, as there will likely never be one similar! Dive into the college experience: join at least one organization, sit in the middle of the classroom, engage with your fellow Bobcats in the Quad, and finally, choose a field of study that sparks something inside of you. Oh, and don’t be afraid to ask questions - I promise someone else is wondering the same thing, too.
What do you like best about San Marcos?
San Marcos is the perfect blend of laid-back and lively. Located in one of the fastest growing areas of the country, this community still manages a small town feel while Austin and San Antonio (and all of the networking and employment opportunities they offer) are just a few miles in either direction. Downtown features lots of trendy boutiques, unique eateries and diners, and places to check out live music.
How would you describe the atmosphere at Texas State?
The first word that comes to mind is welcoming. Students at Texas State are genuine and friendly, which really fosters a feeling of community on campus.
